This is another version of Sensory Play with vinegar and baking soda. I added some cotton to incorporate some drop painting into the activity. Just an extra spice for the activity.
You need:
2 Muffin/cupcake pans
Baking soda
Cotton
Medicine Dropper or Pipette
Water
Vinegar
Food coloring/watercolor paint
Begin by filling half a muffin pan with baking soda and the other half with cotton. I used 1 TBSP of baking soda for each.

Fill the other tray with half water and half vinegar. I also used 1 TBSP to measure for each.

Add in one drop of food coloring/ watercolor paint. Stir and mix well.

Put the trays beside each other and get ready for some fun!

Use a dropper or pipette to squeeze the liquids into the baking soda/cotton.

Luc enjoyed the magic bubbles.

He was so busy making a colorful mess.

Lucas: This smells bad Mama.

When Luc was done, I had to put a fresh batch of cotton and baking soda since Teo wanted to do this activity also.

He made a paste.

A 💩 volcano. 😂

And dropped chunks of baking soda to the vinegar to make it into a bomb.

Same activity, different ages, different results! It was a busy messy morning for my boys.
