Oobleck

Time for some gooey fun! My boys enjoyed making and playing with this. Oobleck is fun because it can be liquid and solid depending on how you handle it. When you tap it, punch it, or pull it, the cornstarch molecules all join together and it has solid properties. But when you leave it alone, it spreads out and it becomes a liquid.

You need:

• 1/2 cup cornstarch

• 1/4 cup water

• 1 drop of food coloring

• shallow pan

1. Add a drop of food coloring to the water. Luc picked blue and Teo made purple.

2. Add the colored water to the cornstarch.

3. Mix well.

4. Enjoy!
