Father’s Day Multi-tasking Dad Card

It’s Fathers Day today! Happy Awesome Day to all the Fathers, Grandfathers, Stepfathers, and Foster Fathers out there!

To surprise their Dad, the boys made this.

We used:

1 piece of Board paper

Scissors

Ruler

Pencil

Markers and Crayons

Split Pins or Single Fasteners

Clear Tape

Needle

Thread

Cutter

Cutting Board

Draw a 3 by 4 inch rectangle.

Cut it out and round the corners of the paper with your scissors.

Fold the paper in half and draw the legs.

Cut it out.

Repeat the same process for the arms but make two folds to make 4 pieces.

Make a heart cut out.

Color and decorate.

Caleb drew most of the finer details while the little ones colored and wrote the message on the heart. He drew his Dad’s favorite things on each hand.

Assemble the card.

This part has to be done by an adult.

Using a cutter, make tiny slits on the appendages and on the body.

Use the split pins to attach them all together.

I just taped the neck part to the body with clear tape.

Use a needle and thread to make this.

Tie a string vertically on each of the middle parts to attach them all together. Make sure to put the horizontal strings towards the top and position the hands horizontally so when you pull on the vertical sting, the hands and legs move.

Attach the heart using clear tape. It will look like this.

Happy Father’s Day!!!
