Dinosaur Eggs for Easter

We had a Dino themed party for Easter.
So, here is the recipe for fast and easy Dinosaur eggs. I made this a week ahead.
I love this recipe because all the ingredients are readily available from your kitchen! Plus, they are ultra safe even for small kids to play with since all the ingredients are non-toxic!

INGREDIENTS

1 cup all purpose flour

1/2 cup iodized salt

1/2 cup water — I added one to two drops of food coloring to make my eggs more easter themed.

Food coloring or you can use coffee for a more authentic Jurassic Park Egg

YIELD: 3 big eggs

Step1. Mix all the dry ingredients together.

Step2. Add the water. Mix well with a fork.

Step3. Once the mixture gets too sticky for the fork. Time to use your muscles and knead the dough in the bowl. Caleb had a hard time kneading the dough so I had to step in and help him 🙂

The dough should have the feel of play dough.

Step4. Roll the dough into balls and place small plastic dinosaurs in the middle. Make sure the dinosaurs are completely covered.

Step5. Put all the eggs in a foil lined cookie sheet and bake at 150C for 30mins. Or you can just airdry for 1-2 weeks. I baked mine for 30mins and air dried for a week.

Hard on the outside but still soft inside.

Step6. Provide the kids with tools and anything they might want to use to get the dinosaur out of the egg. Let them have FUN!!! You can make a few extra for the adults too!

Happy Easter!!! ROARRR!!!<
