Learning to Write His Name

It’s been awhile since my last post.
I’ve been posting fewer home activities since I started sending Caleb to preschool. We’ll be going to the big school next school year!

Anyway, I wanted to share this great activity for learning to write one’s name 🙂 Thank you Teacher Nicole for sharing this with me!

I printed Caleb’s name on paper and had it laminated. The font I used was the KG Primary Dots Lined. I started with all capital letters since this was easier for him to write.

You can use both sides of the laminate. I put numbers at the back.

Caleb used a whiteboard marker to write. Easy to write with and erase for reuse! He learned to write his name in all capital letters but he needed to master writing his complete name.

So here… (hindsight: Maybe it would’ve been better if I taught him to write his complete name instead of just CALEB.)

I left the last line blank with just lines so he could write his name by himself without tracing 🙂

How did you teach your kids to write their name? Please share or comment! I would love to hear from you! 🙂

Thanks for stopping by!
