My mistake! I focused too much on learning how to read that I forgot that he needs to understand numbers not just rote count.
I bought a wooden airplane kit from DAISO. It took us 30 minutes to assemble the airplane without the instructions. Caleb popped out the wooden pieces and I glued them together.
This is good practice for listening skills and following directions.
Then, Caleb “decorated” his airplane.
