Crafting with Pompoms

Even with a five year age gap, my boys fight, wrestle, and argue a LOT! This is a super simple activity that they like to do together which gives me a few minutes of peace and quiet.

You will need:

1. Pompom balls

2. Glue (we used colored glue)

3. Board Paper (I cut it into a star shape)

Put the pompoms in trays and let them glue them onto the paper.

Sit down, relax, and watch them craft.

Easy Catapult

Oh, the long days of summer. So much time to have fun and experiment! The boys wanted to make something cool. So, here is our homemade catapult!

You will need:

1. Popsicle sticks six (6) pieces or disposable chopsticks

2. Rubber bands four (4) pieces for each catapult

3. Double sided tape

4. Aluminum foil

Pile up some sticks and tie them together like so.

Put double sided tape on the topmost piece.

Crumple the aluminum foil to form a mini cup. Then stick it on to the double sided tape.

The catapult is done and ready to launch things!

Launching cotton balls for practice.

Moving on to toys.

Catapult war ensued after this picture was taken.
